AI Writing Tool Buying Checklist

AIHT FIELD SHEET 01 · BUYING CHECKLIST

A better rewrite keeps your meaning and saves useful editing time. Use these six checks before starting a paid plan.

Your answers stay in this page. They are not sent to us.
01

Use the same starting point

Choose a draft you are allowed to share. Remove private information. Run the same passage through each tool and record the mode and date.

02

Compare meaning, facts and sources

Read the rewrite beside the original. Check names, numbers, quotes, references and qualifications. Mark any change in meaning, even if the sentence sounds smoother.

03

Count the editing still needed

Time a final editing pass. Look for unnatural substitutions, repetition and inconsistent tone. Keep a short example of what improved and what you had to fix.

04

Treat detector scores as one signal

A detector result is not proof of authorship or writing quality. Record the detector, date and settings if you use one, and keep its limitations beside the score.

05

Check the actual plan

Record the billing period, renewal price, word allowance, per-run limit, included modes and cancellation process. Compare the cost with the amount you will really use.

06

Check your obligations

Review data retention and deletion options, and your employer, client or school rules on AI assistance. Decide who will review the final draft before it is used.

Your side-by-side worksheet

Write a specific observation. Leave anything you cannot verify blank.
